Requirements

Admission Requirements

  • Official transcript from the institution in which a Bachelor's degree was earned. In order for the transcripts to be considered official, they will need to be requested and sent from your previous institution directly to Wesleyan

  • One letter of recommendation

  • A copy of a valid professional teaching certificate or evidence of having been the teacher of record in a classroom for at least two years

  • Applicants must have either a bachelor's degree from a United States college/university or foreign college/university, and an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4 point scale. An applicant from a foreign country must have a minimum TOEFL score of 550

Program Curriculum

The M.Ed. program is designed to allow a cohort of candidates to earn a graduate degree in the area of elementary education (P-5). This year-long program requires a total of 32 semester hours taken in the sequence outlined.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition (M.Ed. program): $16,000* (32 credit hours at $500 per credit hour)  
Graduation fee: $150 (subject to current college fee schedule)
